Darling Little Helper was a subset of “Bekah Darling” in which I became an “elf helper” for 2-3 years during the Holiday Season.

With the introduction of “Elf on the Shelf”, I would often hear my morning clients at the gym discuss having to move their “Elf” prior to their kids waking up. And they would discuss what actions they would do to make their “Elf” get into trouble and do silly things. One person said that she wished there was a guide to follow…

and the Darling Little Helper was born.

I ended adding a little “fitness” twist onto it, where I created a whole guide to follow (along with materials needed), but also placed a mini-workout that the family would have to do once the children found the Elf. It encouraged early morning movement and a fun family activity.

Now with two boys of our own, I can see myself pulling these guides out and bringing the Darling Little Helper back to life.
